Are you a qualified social worker or criminal justice professional looking at moving to the UK?
In order to gain work in the UK you will need to obtain a Visa and for many of our positions become registered as a Social Worker. Once you are ready to go, we can then assist you, by representing you to clients and notifying you of vacancies.
Visas
Most citizens from Commonwealth countries can apply for a Working Holiday Visa.

Enhanced Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) Clearances
All criminal justice practitioners working within the UK are required to undergo a criminal history check. For youth offending or probation officer positions, you will require an enhanced CRB clearance which allows you to work with both youth and adults.
We can arrange for this clearance to be completed on your behalf
Along with this clearance and your CV, you will also need to bring with you:
- Copies of your qualifications and registration as a professional in your own country.
- A recent certified police check from your home country showing any convictions, warnings and dismissals.
GSCC Social Worker Registration
If you are a social worker, you will need to become registered in the UK in order to work. This process can take up to 16 weeks for international applicants.
For the most up to date information and to register, visit the General Social Care Council's website: www.gscc.org.uk.
